    This study was made possible to the efforts of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), Liberia Institute of Statistics & Geo-Information Services (LISGIS), FHI 360, and a stakeholder working group in Liberia dedicated to improving the lives of young through HIV prevention efforts. UNICEF and FHI 360 co-sponsored this study. FHI 360 provided technical oversight to the project which included development of the study protocol and data collection forms, analysis of data, oversight of the data collection activities in Liberia, and preparation of this report. LISGIS arranged the data collection efforts in country and which included hiring of the research staff and organization of the field work. Finally, the stakeholder working group identified the priority areas where the research was implemented and reviewed the study protocol and data collection tools. This work is dedicated to the young people who participated in this study.

  • Provide details on the various components of the labor force (the employed, unemployed, with special information on those who are underemployed)

- LDHS Published on Dec 21st, 2013
The Objective of the LDHS is to

  • Provide data on education, fertility, family planning, child and maternal mortality, sexual behavior, maternal health, nutrition, child health, malaria prevention, HIV/AIDS knowledge and behavior
  • Measure MDGs other indicators
  • Obtain a population-based estimate of HIV prevalence among adults age 15-49
